The 2014 ASN Canada FIA Canadian Autoslalom Championships Presented by Toyo Tires will be held at Slemon Park Airport (CYSU) in beautiful Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Slemon Park is located at the edge of the city of Summerside. Once known as CFB Summerside, the site was made available to the city of Summerside when the base was decommissioned. The Slemon Park Corporation was formed to administer the facility. A short 5 minute drive from Slemon Park is downtown Summerside.
The airport, built to handle heavy bombers, possesses a large and incredibly flat and smooth surface. For 2014, the course will be set entirely on a concrete surface. The area available includes approximately 59,000 square meters of concrete tarmac with maximum dimensions of 610 meters in length and 115 meters in width. The surface is in excellent condition, well drained, uniform, and free of obstacles.
